One of my favorite reads is over at EAD’s Living. Today, I found this little bit of awesomeness: omlettes made in Ziploc bags.
The directions are here, but basically, crack your eggs into a Ziploc bag, add your choice of ingredients, then drop in boiling water, checking for doneness occasionally by lifting the bag out of the water with tongs.
Can you imagine how great this would be if you had kids, too? You can do the egg cracking, they can add their own ingredients, a simple mark on the outside of the bag to know which belongs to who, and then boil.
I can’t wait to see how this turns out at our casa – since it also seems pretty great for when you’re not needing to make a huge amount of food.
